Caitlin Archibald LPC, NCC, CCTP-II, ACS

When individuals experience trauma or significant life stressors, it is not uncommon to feel overwhelmed or as though things are coming apart at the seams. Caitlin’s passion is to assist people in feeling a little less overwhelmed and in becoming a little more put back together each week. Caitlin works with children, adults, couples, and families who wish to move toward feeling content, whole, and safe– both within themselves and with each other.

Caitlin received her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Monmouth University. She currently holds licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor and holds certificates as a National Certified Counselor and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Caitlin has been trained in several evidence-based trauma-informed therapy techniques, including training in Trauma Center-Trauma Sensitive Yoga. Caitlin utilizes empathy, humor, and mindfulness in all of her sessions.

Caitlin decided to create The Chrysalis Counseling Center in 2020 to provide clients with a warm, safe, and inviting space in which to begin or continue their process of attaining their goals for healing, transformation, and growth.

Ashley Prokop LPC, NCC, ATR - Therapist

Ashley works with clients ages 6+. Her modalities include: Art Therapy, Therapeutic Play Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, CBT, Mindfulness, and TF-CBT. NJ License: 37PC00737500

Ashley is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Registered Art Therapist (ATR), and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Rowan University and a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Art Therapy from Caldwell University. Ashley has experience working at outpatient programs providing services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Ashley has worked with clients who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, domestic violence (survivor and perpetrator), grief and loss, and low self-esteem.

 

Ashley’s love for art and her passion for helping individuals led her to a career in Counseling and Art Therapy. Her compassion, reliability, selflessness, and adaptability helps her understand the unique needs of her clients and provides them with a personalized approach. She provides her clients with a comfortable, non-judgmental, and safe environment to express their emotions and promotes growth and transformation. Her use of art therapy allows clients a creative outlet to help in the healing process. In addition to art therapy, Ashley has been trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Brooke Campbell LPC, NCC - Telehealth Therapist

Brooke works with clients ages 15+. Her modalities include: DBT, CBT, Mindfulness, and Trauma-Informed Therapies. NJ License: 37PC00736600

Brooke is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The College of New Jersey. Brooke believes in providing a safe, caring, non-judgmental space for clients to feel heard and supported. She aims to work collaboratively with her clients to identify treatment goals and tailor therapy to meet each individual’s specific needs. Brooke feels passionate about helping her clients gain self-esteem and self-compassion along their mental health journey.

Brooke is trained in a variety of trauma-informed therapeutic techniques and utilizes a combination of therapeutic approaches. She incorporates mindfulness-based strategies, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy into her sessions. Her background in providing therapy within intensive outpatient settings has allowed for a wealth of experience helping individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, grief, and trauma symptoms.

Brooke wants each of her clients to know that they are not alone on their journey to healing. Her goal for each client is to work together to move toward balancing acceptance and change to help with managing life’s stressors and achieve a sense of overall wellness.

Jessica Fowler LCSW, PMH-C - Therapist

Jes works with clients ages 16+. Her modalities include: CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems Therapy, and Mindfulness Based Therapy. NJ License: 44SC05888700

Jes is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and earned her master’s degree from Rutgers University. Jes understands that it is a courageous step to begin therapy and is passionate about creating a nonjudgmental, caring, and respectful environment where her clients feel safe to share openly and honestly. She believes that each client has within them the strength that they need to create change in their own lives. Her therapeutic style focuses on helping clients to increase their self-compassion and self-acceptance to deepen their understanding of themselves.

Jes is trained in a number of trauma-informed and evidence-based therapeutic techniques. She utilizes a combination of compassion focused therapy, internal family systems therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques. Jes is a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C) and is an Internal Family Systems Level 1 trained therapist. Jes specializes in working with individuals who are experiencing trauma symptoms or mental health difficulties related to reproductive mental health and pregnancy. Jes also has experience working with individuals with anxiety disorders and mood disorders. Jes brings compassion, empathy, and humor to all of her therapy sessions.

Susan Niznik LPC, PsyD - Telehealth Therapist

Dr. Niznik works with clients ages 8+. Her modalities include: CBT, DBT, and ACT. NJ License: 37PC00413400

Susan Niznik is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified School Psychologist. She has a Masters in clinical counseling psychology from La Salle University, an EdS in school psychology from Rowan University, and a PsyD from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Susan has over fifteen years experience providing therapy for children, adolescents and adults.

Susan works with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, anger, stress, behavioral issues, ADHD, and executive function difficulties. She utilizes a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy to help clients develop coping skills to deal with the many stressors that life presents. Susan believes that the therapeutic relationship is a critical component of the therapeutic process and provides an empathic and supportive environment, meeting each individual where he or she is.

Kiersten Garcia-Moran LAC - Therapist

Kiersten Garcia-Moran is a graduate of Keiser University with a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Throughout her professional career, Kiersten has worked with children and teens, but is very comfortable working with all ages! Kiersten has been trained to help clients through emotional difficulties, behavioral issues, life transitions, trauma, crisis, grief, stress management, low self-esteem, family and relationship challenges, various mental health conditions and many other concerns. Kiersten’s goal is to help you get to know yourself, unpack your baggage, untwist your thinking, and live a life you love. 

Kiersten believes the therapeutic process is different for everyone, but will always be conducted in a safe and nonjudgmental manner. Kiersten enjoys collaborating with each client to create a unique plan that caters to their wants, needs and goals. Kiersten uses research based treatment strategies in combination with overall wellness and wholistic practices to tackle her clients’ goals together one step at a time.

Stephanie Greenleaf LAC, R-DMT, NCC - Therapist

Steph works with clients ages 16+. Her modalities include: DBT, CBT, Person-Centered Therapy, Gestalt, Somatic Practices, and Creative Expression. NJ License: 37AC00619900

Stephanie Greenleaf is a Licensed Associate Counselor, Dance Movement Therapist, and National Certified Counselor. Steph graduated with an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health from Rider University. She has an additional M.A. in Communications from LaSalle University. Through a humanistic approach, Steph provides a supportive, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment for clients. She believes everyone possesses the tools necessary to heal and move forward on their journey to a joyful and meaningful life. 

Further, Steph recognizes the effect trauma has on the body and works with clients to tune-in to both their emotional and somatic experiences. Engaging creative methods for healing, Steph utilizes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered approaches, and Mindfulness-based techniques to promote positive growth. She thus works with clients experiencing trauma symptoms, anxiety, depression, grief, challenging life-transitions, and addiction. Above all, Steph wants her clients to know they are not alone and there is a path to a life of fulfillment.

Charity Everett, LPC - Telehealth Therapist

Charity works with clients ages 16+. Her modalities include: DBT, CBT, and Strengths-Based Treatment. NJ License: 37PC00620000; PA License: PC013662

Charity is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She graduated from Rider University with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Charity feels most experienced working with adult clients to stabilize symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and gain management over other mental health symptoms (depression, anxiety, panic attacks) that are negatively impacting their daily life. She will alternate between Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Strength's Based treatment depending on her clients needs. Charity works collaboratively with her clients to identify goals and the steps needed to achieve those goals. She is passionate about focusing on an individual's strengths and empowering her clients to participate in the changes they want to see in therapy.

The therapeutic relationship between client and therapist is extremely important to Charity. One of the most important priorities to Charity is for her clients to feel safe so that they can open up to get the support that they are looking for.

D’Amani Bowman LAC, NCC - Therapist

Dee Bowman is a Licensed Associate Counselor and National Certified Counselor. Dee graduated with a Master of Art in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rider University.

Dee has obtained professional experience in private practice, community mental health, and methadone clinics. Dee is passionate in supporting teens & women navigating anxiety, addiction, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, life transitions, and relationship stressors. Dee utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy to support her clients in developing healthy coping skills, whether that’s practicing mindfulness, assertive communication, learning to set boundaries, or addressing people-pleasing tendencies.

Dee provides a space where you are safe to be your authentic self, without judgment. What you can expect during your time with Dee is genuine encouragement, empathetic listening, and challenging self-defeating beliefs. Together, Dee will support you in putting you back into the driver seat of your own life and achieve the goals that you set for yourself. Dee understands that life can be complicated, and she is here to help you get through whatever hurdles life throws at you!

Emily Bresnan - Counseling Intern

Emily works with clients ages 8+.

Emily is a current student at Villanova University receiving her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Villanova Honor’s Program with a minor concentration in counseling. She is working towards earning her licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Emily expresses an interest in working with all ages to gain as much experience as she can in her practicum position but has particular interest in working with children. She has six years of experience working with and helping children build life skills and grow as individuals. She will use this experience to help clients understand and strengthen skills currently within themselves as well as develop new ones along the way. Emily is currently being trained to eclectically utilize methods from different theoretical approaches to work with the client on an individual basis to provide a personalized approach. Her empathy, openness, and compassion are what drives her to help individuals along their personal journey.
